Open the trap door
You open the trap door to see that it goes down into a cellar. You decide to explore the cellar.
There is a old oil lantern and some matches by the entrance. You shake the lantern to ensure it has oil. It fill almost full. You strike a match and light the lantern.
Like the rest of the house, the cellar has been raided and all the storage shelves are empty. But there is a hand dug tunnel at the far end of the room.
